Young Women and Men’s Aspirations and Resilience: Prospects for Livelihoods, Employment and Accountability before, during and beyond COVID–19 is a 2.5 – year project multi-country project that seeks to contribute to Master Card Foundation’s Young Africa Works Strategic goal of enabling 30 million young women and men in Africa, especially young women, to secure dignified and fulfilling work by 2030.
This research-based programme aims to understand the coping, adaptability and resilience strategies of young women and men in Africa in the face of unprecedented shocks. The study is implemented in seven Africa countries. These include: Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Uganda and Rwanda. This study leverages on PASGR’s Utafiti Sera approach to entrench an evidence-policy culture aimed at enhancing continuous regenerative learning, inclusivity and co-creation in policy discourses across the continent of Africa.
