The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) is delighted to welcome three distinguished professionals who recently joined the Board of Directors. These new Board members were formally introduced to PASGR during the Board meeting held on December 10-11, 2024.
Dr José Jackson-Malete is the Co-Director of the Alliance for African Partnership (AAP) at Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, Michigan, USA. She has extensive experience in fostering partnerships between African universities and international collaborators. Ms Kananu Mutea is the Founding Partner of KM Associates and Course Correct Consulting. She practices law with a focus on dispute resolution and risk advisory. Dr Kathryn Nwajiaku-Dahou is the Director of Politics and Governance Programme at ODI, UK. She brings extensive experience in International Development issues as a technical expert, policy advisor and manager of research and development projects on governance and international engagement. Their combined expertise will be instrumental in advancing PASGR’s mission and strengthening its vision for the future.
During the same meeting, PASGR honoured Ms Helen Ombima for her dedication and contributions to PASGR. Ms Ombima stepped down from the Board in April 2024 after two terms of service since 2018 where she supported the organization’s financial governance as the Chair of the Board’s Finance and Audit Committee (FAC). The recognition took place during a luncheon attended by Board members and staff to celebrate her commitment to PASGR’s mission. The Board extends its deepest gratitude to Ms Ombima for her service and contributions to the organization’s growth and success. Her legacy will continue to resonate in the organization’s ongoing endeavours.
