Announcing PASGR’s New Executive Director

On behalf of PASGR’s Board of Directors, Management and staff, I am pleased to share the exciting news that Dr Fadel Ndiame has been appointed as PASGR’s new Executive Director, with effect from 1 July 2025. This appointment marks the culmination of a thorough and inclusive recruitment process, including engagement with staff.

Dr Ndiame brings to the role over 30 years of experience in executive leadership, agriculture and economic development, policy and resource mobilization in sub-Saharan Africa. He joins PASGR from Food Systems Solutions where he has been the Chief Executive Director. Previously, he held senior positions at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) as the Deputy President and as a senior policy advisor. Dr Ndiame is also a Professor of Practice at McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics.

He holds a PhD in Sociology of Rural Development from Wageningen Agricultural University, a MSc degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and a MSc in Economics from the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal.

We are confident that Dr Ndiame’s leadership will be instrumental in building on our past achievements and guiding the organization into an exciting chapter aligned to our new strategic direction. I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all our stakeholders and partners for the steadfast support, trust, and commitment you extended to us throughout the leadership transition period. Your continued confidence in our mission has been both reassuring and invaluable.

As Dr Ndiame assumes this role, the Board also extends its sincere appreciation to our dedicated staff and management team for their commitment and hard work during the transition period. We are particularly grateful to Dr Pauline Ngimwa for her exemplary service as Acting Executive Director. Her focused leadership and commitment were crucial in ensuring operational continuity and financial stability during this interim period, laying the groundwork for the organization’s next strategic phase.
