Supervising Doctoral Research in Public Policy Capacity Strengthening Course will run from October 11 to 22, 2021. It will be delivered online to supervisors of the PhD in Public Policy students as one of the joint activities designed to strengthen the PhD in Public Policy network. It is structured in five short modules taking a maximum of 20 hours spread over two weeks of synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) sessions. It follows the South African National Qualifications Framework (NQF) which is internationally recognized. Among the topics covered include: supervising interdisciplinary PhDs; innovative and critical thinking in research and supervision; and digital instruments and platforms for supervision and research.
This being a collaborative effort, the course has been developed by a team of supervisors from the partnership who will also be facilitating this engagement.
